This can be in the form of a free report, eBook or newsletter.

They are free information that can help them in a number of ways. The way pre selling works is first, you capture your visitor’s attention by offering them something free to join your list. Second, you build trust by giving them valuable information that they can use to help them out. Third, you then have them positioned right where you want them and this is to be receptive to your products and services.

Monetizing Your List

So, now that you have built trust and credibility with your list building, it is time to monetize your list and start making a profit from it. You can do this through affiliate marketing or by selling your own product. Let us take affiliate marketing as an example.

In your promotional messages, you can add links to different related affiliate products that will offer a solution to your reader’s problems. Each time someone clicks on one of your affiliate links and makes a purchase, you will be paid a percentage of that sale. Obviously, the bigger your list, the better your conversions will be.

List building can be both fun and very profitable. Be creative when advertising. You can use PPC advertising or SEO to drive highly targeted traffic to your sites. The more targeted the traffic, the more chances you have of getting them to sign up into your list and clicking on your links.
