When it comes to list building strategies, there is no real mystery cause a big part of the things that used to work last year will still work today. Some people tweaked them a little here and there but the basics really stay the same. Here is your first step to success also, mastering the basics.

The greatest choice of all beginners is to work out how they’re going to advertise stuff. You can go for article marketing, blogging, PPC advertising with AdWords etc. You can either select one or more of those techniques at a time, depending really on your needs and promotional strategies.

There are lots of options to promote your things or services on the web but making promotions using list building is the most efficient and easy way around. One of the strategies for building a list is a “bribe”. This means that you have to provide visitors with an attractive freebie in exchange for their name and mail address, for example software, a video tutorial, a report etc. Basically, you need just some content that may be helpful for your future subscribers. If you don’t have a clue of how to create the bribe, you can also hire freelancers to do it for you. Once again, don’t irritate them with hundreds of promotions if you don’t want them to unsubscribe.

Another strategy is to split the list in more categories depending on the subscribers. I don’t think you want to be mailing food recipes to those subscribers interested in teeth whitening..

Another list building strategy is to create a landing page. This is a simple webpage that has an auto responder email form attached to it, here visitors can subscribe to your mailing list. It doesn’t have to be too fancy and neither has to take too long to create. To make your landing page more effective, try and study those who are really successful and adopt the same techniques.

This all will take a lot of time and effort and even money but you can save a big part of that by hiring freelancers to get it done for you.
